The Department of Education (DepEd) is reverting to the old school calendar for the school year 2024-2025, with the classes beginning on July 29 and ending in May 2025.

DepEd Order No. 003 s. 2024, dated February 19, sets the start and end of classes for SY 2024-2025 on July 29, 2024 and May 16, 2025.

Following the adjustment, DepEd also pushes back the end of classes for the school year 2023-2024 to May 31 instead of June 14. The school break this year will be from June 1 to July 26, 2024.

The department earlier confirmed that it would begin the process of gradually bringing back the old school calendar.

The Third Quarter Examinations will be on March 25-26, while the Fourth Quarter Exam will be on May 16-17, 2024. Schools are likewise encouraged to conduct their respective EOSY Rites from May 29-31, 2024.
End-of-school-year rites will be conducted from May 29 to 31, and only schools with exceptional circumstances can hold these on June 1 upon consultations with teachers and students.
