Thirty-five schools in diverse cities in seven regions will be participating in the pilot testing of the revised Kinder to Grade 10 (K to 10) curriculum or the MATATAG curriculum, according to the latest memorandum released by the Department of Education (DepEd) on Sunday.
The seven regions includes Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), National Capital Region (NCR), Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, Central Visayas, Soccsksargen, and Caraga Administrative Region.
There are five schools in each regions that will pilot run the MATATAG curriculum.

Under Memorandum No. 054 or the Pilot Implementation of the MATATAG Curriculum released last Sept. 8, DepEd said the pilot schools was selected in NCR, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao to "ensure a diverse representation".
The public elementary and secondary schools were categorized by their enrollment size.
"This meticulous approach to school selection aims to create a well-rounded pilot program that reflects the diversity and complexity of the Philippine education landscape," the education department said.
DepEd said teachers and learners in the aformentioned pilot school will receive a teaching-learning resources.
"Other learning resources may still be used to supplement the teaching and learning process," it noted.
The official implementation of the MATATAG K to 10 curriculum is set in School Year (SY) 2024-2025 and will end by SY 2027-2028.
