The Department of Education (DepEd) has issued a memorandum allowing teaching and non-teaching personnel to wear alternative uniforms this summer season.
Under Memorandum DM-OUHROD-2024-0662 dated and released on April 12, teaching and non-teaching personnel are allowed to wear any DepEd polo shirt that was used in the previous official events and activities or a white collared polo shirt that has DepEd and MATATAG logo.
Any of the polo shirts must be paired with slacks, jeans, and cargo pants, and not leggings, tights, and jogging pants in adherence with the Civil Service Commission's revised dress code for all government officials and employees.
"The wearing of the said alternative uniform shall be allowed until such time that a memorandum is issued superseding this issuance," DepEd noted.
