The Department of Education (DepEd) was named the most trusted and best-performing government agency in the first quarter of 2024, according to a survey conducted by OCTA Research.
According to OCTA's recent Tugon ng Masa survey from March 11–14, 2024, the DepEd had an 82 percent trust rating, followed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Department of Health (DoH) with 79 percent, the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) at 73 percent, and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) at 71 percent.
DepEd's trust ratings were the highest in Mindanao, with 94 percent, and those under socioeconomic classes D and E, with 85 and 71 percent, respectively.
Furthermore, DepEd was also the top-performing government agency in the first quarter of 2024, with an 84 percent performance rating, followed by the DoH at 80 percent, DSWD at 77 percent, CHEd at 73 percent, and DPWH at 72 percent.
DepEd's ratings of performance were the highest in Mindanao, at 95 percent, and among those from socioeconomic class E, at 89 percent.
The survey had 1,200 respondents and a margin of error of plus or minus three percent.
