December Avenue’s bassist, Dondon Gregorio, is stepping away from the band to focus on his growing family, according to his statement on Sunday, April 13.
The statement was uploaded to the band’s social media pages on Sunday, as a message to their friends and fans. To address questions on Don’s whereabouts, the band said that it was a bittersweet update, but thanked their fans regardless.
“After 17 years of being the bassist of December Avenue, I’ve decided to step away from the band to focus on my growing family. It wasn’t an easy decision, but I know it’s time for me to be fully present for my wife and our kids,” the statement read.
The bassist thanked supporters who came to their shows, messaged him, and everyone who loved the music they have released.
“We’ve traveled to so many places and played countless shows. I’ll always treasure those memories,” he said.
“Suportahan niyo pa rin ang December Avenue. They’re not just my band - they’re my brothers. And they’ve still got so much more to share with all of you,” he added.
