Brazilian Coach Jorge Souza De Brito parted ways with the Akari Power Chargers.

The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) team announced on Thursday, December 14, that De Brito submitted his resignation after guiding the team in four conferences.

"Akari management has accepted the resignation of Coach Jorge and offer our sincerest appreciation and thank him for his time and service for the 4 conferences he has served as head tactician of this young promising team," the Chargers said in a statement.

Akari said that the resignation of De Brito, who also serves as head coach of the Philippine national women's volleyball team, takes effect on Friday, December 15.
