The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has approved the release of a P12.259 billion fund by the National Housing Authority (NHA) for housing assistance.

According to the DBM, the fund will be provided for housing disaster victims and payments for the resettlement of informal settler families in Western Visayas.

The P12.059 billion fund will go for housing assistance for calamity victims, while the remaining P200 million will be for the construction of four five-story, low-rise residential buildings in Region 6 for informal settlers.

Moreover, the DBM mentioned that the Special Allotment Release Orders (SAROs) payment request supported the recorded list of SAROs with their associated amounts, fund utilization status, and finance accountability reports from past years.
