

Davao-based business tycoon Dennis Uy has stepped down as chief executive officer (CEO) of telecommunications company Dito Telecommunity.
DITO CME Holdings Corp., the parent company of Dito Telecommunity, announced the changes in ranking through a press statement issued on Wednesday, Oct. 11.
Uy would be replaced by DITO CME Holdings Corp. president Ernesto 'Eric' Alberto.
"DITO CME Holdings Corp., the information and communications technology (ICT) sector holding firm of the Udenna Group, announces the transfer of Ernesto (Eric) R. Alberto from DITO CME president to chief executive officer of its subsidiary, DITO Telecommunity ("DITO Tel")," it said.

The parent company said Uy would remain as DITO Telecommunity's chairman.
"Eric's wealth of experience in senior capacities in the banking and telecoms sector spanning several decades will be very valuable in his new role as DITO Tel CEO. His appointment comes at an opportune time as we continue to maintain the Company on a high-growth trajectory," the Davao-based business tycoon said as quoted by DITO CME Holdings Corp.
Alongside, DITO CME Holdings Corp. Chief Operating Officer (COO) Donald Patrick Lim was appointed as DITO CME president.
