The third child of Danica Sotto and her husband Marc Pingris, a former professional basketball player, is a boy with a French-sounding name.
On Sunday, January 15, Pingris, who wed Sotto in March 2007, posted on his personal Instagram account about how happy he was to be a father of three. He also posted a number of pictures showing snippets of his wife's labor.
“LORD, thank you! Gabayan nyo po ako na mapalaki sila ng maayos at gabayan mo ko Lord sa lahat lahat ng bagay na gagawin ko para sa pamilya ko. Salamat at maayos na nanganak si Danica salamat po Ama,” he said.

The name of their son, Jean-Luc Sotto Pingris, was also revealed by the ex-athlete.
In a different post, Sotto also thanked the Lord for a "easy and safe" delivery.

The actress shared her joy after giving birth to her son.
The couple received congratulations on the birth of their third child from famous mothers Pauleen Luna-Sotto, Sunshine Dizon, Iya Villania, Camille Prats, Karla Estrada, Liz Uy, Mariel Padilla, and Iza Calzado.
In June 2022, Sotto and Pingris made the news that they were expecting their third child; in September, the baby's gender was determined.
