Maynilad Water Services Inc. on Monday reported a significant increase in the water level at Angat Dam.
The measurement taken at 5 a.m. showed the water level at 195.04 meters, which was notably higher than the previous week's measurement of 180.78 meters.
This rise in water level exceeded the minimum operating level requirement of 180 meters.
Likewise, there was also an increase in the water level at Ipo Dam, reaching 101.09 meters as compared to the previous measurement of 99.54 meters.
Maynilad attributed the continuous increase in water elevation at Angat Dam to the persistent rainfall experienced in the past week, brought about by the recent departure of Typhoon Egay, the southwest monsoon, and the intensified Typhoon Falcon.
"Patuloy ang pagtaas ng water elevation sa Angat Dam dahil na rin sa mga pag-ulan nitong nakaraang araw," it said in the announcement.
In light of this situation, the scheduled daily water service interruptions in specific areas of Caloocan, Malabon, Manila, Navotas, Quezon City, and Valenzuela have been temporarily suspended until further notice.
