Senator Cynthia Villar is mulling to take legal action against the person who uploaded a video of her berating a security officer and his supervisor for erecting metal barricades on a stretch of road in a subdivision in Las Piñas City.
In a press conference in Senate on Wednesday, Villar said she believe that the person who captured her has an intent of malice.
"We are going to court because that is subjudice eh," she said.
Meanwhile, the Senator denied that she had an outburst in the video and said that people are just "inventing" this.
"I was just telling them to remove the gate because it's for public use. It's not for me, I don't need that," she said.
According to Villar, she previously filed a case before the Regional Trial Court (RTC) - Las Piñas against the homeowners association of the BF Resort Village for refusing let cars with friendship stickers to pass through the village.
The friendship stickers are free of charge in accordance to Las Piñas City government's ordinance, she noted.
But the BFV homeowners association wants motortists to buy the stickers for ₱2,500, the Senator added.
"Ako nag co-complain lang ako para huwag nilang continously gagawin ito because it's not good for the people. Me, I can always do what is good for me but it's not good for the ordinary people," she said.
The video of Villar, captured by netizen JC Dela Cruz World, went viral on social media platforms last week.
Apart from confronting two people, the six-minute and 32-second video also showed that Villar held the guard's arm while another guy, allegedly his supervisor, begged the Senator to not to hurt his employee.
