The Civil Service Commission - National Capital Region (CSC-NCR) is calling on the examinees of the canceled March 2020 exam to claim their refunds from its office before the end of the month.
Judith Dongallo - Chicano, CSC-NCR regional director, appealed on Monday to the 2020 examinees to file their request for refunds so they can get their money back.
"We're giving you until November 30, 2021 para makahabol po kayo," Chicano told DZRH in an interview.
(We're giving you until November 30, 2021, so you can catch up.)
In order to file a request, Chicano said examinees just need to head over the Facebook page of the commission and click the link of the virtual application form.
"Paki-fill out lang yung virtual form para ma-validate namin," instructed Chicano.
(Fill out the virtual form so we can validate them.)
Once done, the form will undergo verification by the commission, and once approved, the examinees can get their full PHP500 examination fee back through Palawan Express Pera Padala anywhere in the Philippines.
"Nakipartner kasi kami sa Palawan and sila na 'yung magno-notify doon sa payee, don sa examinee namin," said Chinano. "Walang bawas, walang kaltas doon sa kanilang examination fee. They will be getting 'yung buong eamination fee na ibinayad nila samin."
(We partnered with Palawan and they will be the ones who will notify the payee or the examinee. There will be no reductions on their examination fee. They will be getting the full amount that they paid for.)
According to Chicano, a huge number of examinees have yet to file their applications for a refund to the commission. The CSC-NCR will keep its doors open until the end of the month to see if the number of applications will increase.
"Titignan natin kung ilan yung makakapag-request ng refund until the deadline, then mag-strategize ulit kami kapag marami pang hindi makakpag-refund," she said.
(We will check the number of people who will request the refund until the deadline, then we will strategize again if many are not able to get their refund.)
The March 2020 civil service examination was canceled due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Chicano said they are refunding the money because it will be difficult to accommodate the 52,000 examinees last year should the exam push through in the future.
"We cannot assure that everybody, the 52,000 examinees natin ng March 2020, na exam ay ma-accommodate namin," said the director.
(We cannot assure that everybody, the 52,000 examinees in March 2020, will be accommodated.)
"That's why we wanted to refund para clean slate tayo if ever we'll be conducting a face-to-face examination ulit," said the director.
(That's why we wanted to refund so we can have a clean slate if ever we'll be conducting face-to-face examination again.)
The CSC-NCR director said they are looking at the second quarter of 2022 for the resumption of face-to-face examinations.
