The seven-day COVID-19 positivity rate in Metro Manila has dropped from 11.6% last Dec. 24 to 9.1% as the year ended, OCTA Research Senior Fellow Dr. Guido David said.
In data he shared on Twitter, Guido said that from 11.6% recorded last Dec 24, the 7-day testing positivity rate in NCR decreased to 9.1% on Dec 31, 2022.
Meanwhile, Bulacan's positivity rate dipped below 5%

Other 19 provinces in Luzon have also decreased positivity rates from 9.2%, Bulacan has now 4.4%, 5.6% in Ilocos Norte, 6.9% in Zambales, 7.2% in Pangasinan, 7.3% in Mt. Province, 7.8% in Batangas, 8.1% in La Union, 8.5% in Cagayan, 8.6% in Cavite, 9.1% in Kalinga, 10.4% in Tarlac and 10.5% in Laguna.
A drop in rate has also been observed in Albay, Camarines Sur, Ilocos Sur, Nueva Ecija, Quezon, Rizal, and Pampanga.
However, an increase in cases was seen in Isabela from 21.2% to 37.6%, Bataan from 12.8% to 13.7%, and Benguet from 8.2% to 9.0%.
The data was based on the positivity rate of individuals who took RT-PCR tests.
