The National Capital Region (NCR) witnessed a decline in its COVID-19 positivity rate, reaching a "moderate" level on Tuesday at 19.9%, according to data from OCTA Research Group.

Dr. Guido David, a fellow at OCTA Research, reported that the seven-day testing positivity rate in the NCR decreased from a "high" risk of 24.4% on May 23 to 19.9% on May 30.
He also mentioned that the occupancy of hospital beds due to COVID-19 patients remained at a "low" level during the same period.
On Wednesday, the entire Philippines recorded 1,279 new COVID-19 cases, with an active caseload of 14,838.
