The COVID-19 cases in the National Capital Region (NCR) have slightly risen over the past weeks, according to monitoring of the OCTA Research Group.
In a Twitter post, OCTA Research fellow Guido David said the positive rate or the number of individuals who tested positive in NCR rose to 6.1 percent on Sept. 27 from the 5.4 percent recorded on Sept. 20.

Citing data from the Department of Health (DOH), David said there were 209 new COVID-19 cases in the country as of Sept. 29.
Ninety-eight out of the 209 cases were recorded in NCR.
The new COVID-19 cases pushed the overall number of active cases nationwide to 3,018.

According to the OCTA Research fellow, the new COVID-19 cases in the country are projected to range from 175 to 225 by Sept. 30.
The death toll nationwide stood at 66,696, while recoveries at 4,044,966 individuals.
