The Department of Health (DOH) reported that the COVID-19 cases in the Philippines have increased by 36%, with 1,821 infected and a total of 13 new records of deaths.
According to the DOH on Tuesday, the newly recorded cases were from December 5 to 11, making it a total of 3,876.
In the preceding week, the health authorities recorded a total of 1,340 cases, saying that the daily average of cases this week was 260.
A total of 288 COVID patients, both severe and critical, were admitted to hospitals, adding that the occupancy rate of intensive care units (ICU) and non-ICU COVID beds was 13.6% and 16.5%, respectively.
Meanwhile, at least 78 million individuals have received vaccinations against COVID-19, while 23 million have received booster shots.
