The court granted the request of religious leader and Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder Apollo Quiboloy’s camp for a new medical furlough.
According to his legal counsel, Israelito Torreon, Quiboloy developed an infection from a dental operation, which spread to his jaw.
After today's hearing, the Pasig RTC Branch 159 approved Quiboloy's request to be sent back to the Philippine Heart Center from November 23 to Wednesday, November 27.
"Doon na kasi 'yung mga test na ginawa. May dental complications kasi si pastor so it has to be undertaken and other tests also have to be conducted; pulmonary tests, mayroon pa 'yung tatlong tests na gagawin," Torreon said in an ambush interview on Friday.
Meanwhile, during a press briefing at Camp Crame, Philippine National Police (PNP) Spokesperson PBGen. Jean Fajardo stated that Quiboloy's condition has stabilized following his recent hospitalization due to an irregular heartbeat.
It was disclosed that Quiboloy previously underwent heart surgery and initially sought house or hospital arrest, but the court denied his request.
Following his earlier medical furlough, the self-proclaimed "appointed son of God" was brought back to the PNP Custodial Center on November 16.
Quiboloy is currently facing multiple charges, including qualified human trafficking and child sexual abuse.
