Police denied raiding a school affiliated with Pastor Apollo Quiboloy in Davao City.
PMaj Catherine Dela Rey, spokesperson of Police Regional Office - Davao, said that law enforcement units only served an arrest warrant against Quiboloy and five others on Monday, June 10, at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ College.
Cops also served the arrest warrant to two other properties connected to Quiboloy: the Tamayong Prayer Mountain, and Glory Mountain, but they failed to find the religious leader.
"Hindi siya raid pero service of warrant of arrest, " Dela Rey said during DZRH's Damdaming Bayan.
(Not a raid but a service of warrant of arrest)
"We believe na nandiyan siya doon sa tatlong addresses kaya pinuntahan natin at nag-serve tayo ng warrant of arrest subalit kanina negative yung resulta," she added.
(We went there and served the warrant of arrest because we believe that he is there in those three addresses but it turned out to be negative)
Quiboloy, the founder of the group Kingdom of Jesus Christ, faces charges under Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, and RA 9208, or the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act.
Quiboloy has denied the charges against him.
