A content creator from Cagayan de Oro City has passed away due to a bone fracture sustained during a chiropractic session, a video of which had made rounds on the internet.
On November 18 of last year, Leobert Mangubat Yurong recorded the home-service session intended to realign his bones and alleviate the pain in his back, but instead left him bedridden for two months. In the video, Yurong can be heard yelling in pain after the alleged chiropractor pushed his hip and knee downward.
It was revealed by a medical examination that Yurong suffered a fracture on the right side of his pelvis.
In a report on Magandang Umaga Pilipinas, the victim’s physical condition deteriorated due to the injury, until he died on January 20.
Yurong’s family has decided to file a case against the supposed chiropractor. According to a November post, the chiropractor refused to shell out for half of Yurong’s hospital bills and even threatened to sue him, claiming Yurong had already been injured prior to the realignment session.
The deceased will be laid to rest on Wednesday, January 29. His family is seeking financial aid to cover burial expenses.
