The Philippine National Police (PNP) - Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) has released the facial composite sketch of one of the suspects behind the murder of the San Miguel, Bulacan Police chief.
In a press briefing on Monday, PNP spokesperson Jean Fajardo said the victims in the holdup incident were the ones who described the suspects.
"'Yung composite sketch ay kung matatandaan natin na bago mangyari ang insidente na pagkamatay ng police chief ay may nangyari pong hold upan at isa sa mga suspects ay nataga ng mga biktima natin. Siya [biktima] ang nagbigay ng mga description ng pwedeng pagkakilanlan ng mga suspects," she said.
Fajardo said the manhunt operations of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3) are still ongoing, and they now have a lead on the suspects.
"Umaasa tayo sa ating mga kababayan na paglabas ng sketch ay matutuntun at makikilala natin ang suspects," she added.
In the description, the suspect is estimated 5'3 to 5'4 tall, brown complexion, and is 35 years old and above.
On Saturday, March 25, San Miguel Chief of Police Marlon was shot in the head by a riding in tandem who are fleeing after robbing a sari-sari store.
The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), the PNP, and PRO-3 are offering a Php 1 million reward for individuals who can give information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects.
