Registered voters of Barangay Muzon in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan have agreed to divide the village into 4 separate and independent barangays on Saturday, March 25.

According to Commission on Elections (Comelec), the result of the plebiscite showed that the 12,324 (92.51%) votes out of 13,222 participating voters said 'yes', while only 969 (07.27%) said 'no'.

Under Republic Act No. 11896, Barangay Muzon will be divided into four: Barangay Muzon Proper, Barangay Muzon East, Barangay Muzon West, and Barangay Muzon South.

The division is part of the initiative of the local government to "improve the delivery of basic social services for the general welfare of the whole constituency of the City."
