Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Chairman George Garcia reminded the public to register on or before September 30.
This deadline applies to all eligible Filipinos who wish to register for the upcoming May 2025 elections.
"Kung ire-reactivate ang kanilang registration o may babaguhin sa kanilang registration, hanggang September 30 na lang po 'yan, at 'yan din po ang period na matatapos ang registration para sa mga kababayan natin abroad," said COMELEC Chairman George Garcia in an ambush interview.
Meanwhile, Garcia noted that Filipinos abroad had two years to register, which he said was sufficient time for registration.
"Dalawang taon po ang kanilang registration period, and therefore, sa ating palagay, medyo mahaba-haba na po iyon para po i-extend pa natin," he added.
To complete their registration, the COMELEC encouraged Filipinos to visit their respective local COMELEC offices or one of the Register Anywhere Program (RAP) sites.
