The Commission on Election (Comelec) has officially proclaimed Erwin Tulfo as the third representative of the Anti-Crime and Terrorism - Community Involvement and Support Partylist (ACT-CIS) party list.
The poll body shared the photos of Tulfo’s proclamation that was led by Comelec Commissioner Socorro Inting on Thursday, July 20.
Tulfo’s proclamation comes after the Comelec en banc affirmed the decision of the Comelec Second Division to junk the disqualification case filed against Tulfo.
The disqualification case was earlier filed by lawyer Moises Tolentino who questioned the broadcast journalist’s citizenship and four counts of libel conviction.
In May, Tulfo formally took his oath before House Majority Leader Mannix Dalipe in the House of Representatives.
Prior to his position in the ACT-CIS party list, he previously served as the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary.
