The Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) are assessing the possible alteration of the 'Areas of Grave Concern' list.
COMELEC Chairman George Erwin Garcia said on Monday that there is a high possibility that the 38 areas currently listed under the ‘Red Category’ or areas of concern may change.
Garcia explained at Camp Crame that this is due to the continuing incidents of violence being recorded by authorities, particularly in the Bangsamoro region.

After the security briefing with the PNP, the COMELEC is expected to release the revised list of 'Election Hotspots' next week.
