Comelec extends voter registration beginning Oct. 9

The Commission on Elections will be extending the voter registration from October 9 to 31, an official said Wednesday.

Comelec chairman Sheriff Abas made the announcement in an interview with a news media outlet earlier today.

Abas said the decision will be formalized in an en banc session later today, Wednesday.

Abas said the decision to resume the registration on October 9 was because the Comelec will be “very busy” in accepting the COCs of various candidates all over the country.
