The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) announced on Friday, September 1, the extension of the Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for National Capital Region (NCR), Abra, and Ilocos Norte.

According to the Comelec advisory, aspirants may file their COC within the schedule below:

• NCR will resume on September 2 until September 4
• Abra to resume on September 1 to September 4
• Ilocos Norte until September 3

The extension was announced after the government suspended work in the areas on Thursday due to the inclement weather brought by Typhoon Hanna.

The Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) will happen on October 30 this year.
