Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Chairman George Erwin Garcia said on Friday, July 19, that he is preparing possible cases to be filed against individuals who are accusing him of committing bribery.
At Kapihan sa Manila Hotel, Garcia said that the documents sent to the Comelec can be considered falsification of documents especially since many banks are denying that the Comelec Chair has an account with them.
According to Garcia, they have also traced where the documents came from, contrary to former Caloocan Rep. Egay Erice's initial statement that the documents came from other countries.
Garcia added that he had previously obtained a white paper or a copy of the complaints against him.
In this regard, the poll chief is convinced that the accusations thrown at him are nothing but slander, which is why the Comelec has signed on with Miru System to be a provider in the 2025 midterm elections.
