The Commission on Elections (Comelec) began the delivery of polling equipment and other supplies for the special elections in Cavite province's seventh legislative district on Tuesday, February 25.

He also stated that poll supplies will be deployed until Friday.

For the special elections, 355,184 official ballots and 5,538 final testing and sealing (FTS) ballots were printed.

For the special elections, however, 426 vote counting machines and the same number of backup units will be used.

The simultaneous FTS will take place on February 19.

Security escorts will be provided by the Cavite police from the Comelec warehouse in Santa Rosa City, Laguna, to the provincial hub.

Following the appointment of then-Congressman Jesus Crispin Remulla as Justice Secretary, special elections were scheduled to elect the district's new representative.

Meanwhile, a poll body official reported that the deliveries to the Tanza municipality had been completed as of Tuesday.

The seventh district of the province is made up of the municipalities of Tanza, Amadeo, and Indang, as well as the city of Trece Martires.
