According to Laudiangco, Miru had demonstrated live in person their automated counting machines, consolidation and canvassing system, and election management system, among others in front of Comelec members and senior officials as well as Citizens' Arm representatives, stakeholders, and local media.
The said demonstration was streamed live on the poll body's Facebook page and YouTube channel.
The ₱18.8 billion contract is said to be consisting of 111,000 automated counting machines; 104,345 ballot boxes; 2,200 CCS servers/laptops and printers; and ballot printing and paper for 73,881,894 and ballot verification.
In December last year, Comelec declared a failure of bidding after Miru Systems Co. Inc. was deemed ineligible.
The second bidding occurred in January and only Miru Systems Co. Inc. submitted the procurement documents out of the five bidders.
Earlier this month, the Comelec Special Bid and Awards Committee declared that Miru Systems Co. Inc. passed the post-qualification evaluation process.
