The website and social media platforms of the television network CNN Philippines have been wiped out following its closure on Wednesday, January 31.
On Monday, the management of CNN Philippines said it would discontinue delivering news and information on free-to-air television, cable, and digital platforms starting January 31, 2024.
"CNN Philippines will discontinue operations on all media platforms effective Wednesday, January 31, 2024," it said.
Some of the former employees of CNN Philippines took to X (formerly Twitter) to grieve the erasure of the network, nine years after it debuted to the local broadcasting industry.
"Worked for CNN Philippines for over a decade. We tried our best to deliver news that’s fair, accurate, and balanced. I handled most of our social media accounts. And just like that, it’s all gone. We fought the good fight. I’m proud of what we accomplished," Christian Marquez wrote on X.

"Nine years of working for CNN Philippines started and ended on the website and our social media pages to deliver content that is fair, accurate, and balanced. Erased just like that. Allow me to grieve this loss," Lara Tan tweeted.
