Classical singer Lara Maigue is the "surprise" singer of the Philippine national anthem in the second State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. on Monday.&nbsp;
This was confirmed by House Secretary General Reginald Velasco in an interview with another media outlet.&nbsp;
"Ang balita namin there will be a singer ng Pambansang Awit natin. Ang pangalan niya ay Lara Maigue. Tinignan namin yun sa YouTube. Very famous pala siya," Velasco said.
&nbsp;Based on her YouTube channel,&nbsp; Maigue is a Filipino classically trained soprano and songwriter who has won several awards, including the 2017 Aliw Awards for Best Classical Performer and the 2018 Aliw Awards for Best Female Crossover Performer.&nbsp;

Maigue was among the performers for &lsquo;To Broadway with Love&rsquo;, a 2-night sold-out concert at the Esplanade concert hall with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Gerard Salonga.
