The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) is preparing to file obstruction of justice charges against individuals who helped Pastor Apollo Quiboloy evade authorities.
According to a report by Edniel Parrosa on Friday, PNP Spokesperson PBGen. Jean Fajardo said these charges will be filed against members of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) and others who claimed Quiboloy was not in Davao City.
When asked if Vice President Sara Duterte is included in the case, following her comment that Quiboloy could be in heaven, Fajardo said it would be addressed in the official complaint.
Earlier, the CIDG filed sedition and inciting to sedition charges with the DOJ against Atty. Israelito Torreon, Quiboloy’s legal counsel, and 12 others.
On September 8, Quiboloy was apprehended after a weeks-long manhunt by PNP Region 11 officers.
The pastor faces charges of qualified human trafficking, child abuse, and sexual abuse in various courts in Metro Manila, to which he pleaded 'not guilty'.
