Parokya ni Edgar vocalist Chito Miranda defended his wife, Neri Naig, after receiving negative comments following the shared P1,000 meal plan that some netizens called "out of touch" and "unrealistic."

In an Instagram post this Friday, Chito came to his wife's defense saying, "It was mostly for fun, but she also thought that it can be useful for those who might want to use it as a guide."

Chito said Neri wanted to make a P1,000 meal plan because her previous P2,000 meal plan became popular.

"It was intended for those who already knew what she was doing, she made the crucial mistake of not filling in the details," he said.

"It was soon picked up by those who knew nothing of what she was doing, and was instantly bashed for it," he added.

The singer said her wife just thought that his meal plan might help people who might find it useful, but she was even bashed by people who didn't follow why she was doing the meal plan."

"What a cruel, cruel world," said Chito.

Chito also scolded the bashers by saying, "For those who got angry and threw stones without knowing the details of what she was doing, good job sa inyo."

On September 12, Neri uploaded a sample weekly meal plan that stirred mixed reactions from netizens. Some said the meal plan was impossible, and others called it "out of touch" and "unrealistic."

The weekly plan includes different breakfast and lunch suggestions. The dinner is "leftovers," as indicated in the column.
