A Chinese national surrendered to authorities on Thursday evening, following the raid in a commercial buildingin Makati City.
In a report by RH 27 Noche Cacas, authorities said the foreign national approached them after the raid and claimed that he was a POGO worker from Porac, Pampanga. Moreover, the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) Undersecretary Gilbert Cruz said the former might have details on the POGO operations in Makati.
“Kasi naandito siya kung saan hinuhuli natin yung mga POGO operations o illegal POGO operations dito sa building na ‘to. At lumapit sa’tin so definitely mayroon siyang alam sa POGO operations dito,” Cruz said in an ambush interview with reporters.
“Ang gusto kong linawin sa kanya, [is] bakit niya alam yung operation ng POGO doon sa Porac [Pampanga],” he added.
Cruz elaborated how the foreign national said he came from Clark, Pampanga before relocating and working at the POGO hub in Porac, Pampanga.
“Nagtrabaho siya sa POGO, and [‘yun] ang tinanong nga natin kanina, but we need to verify it first. Sabi niya nagtatrabaho daw siya sa Porac POGO hub before. And galing siya sa Clark [Pampanga] at ‘yun yung sinabi niya,” he said.
“But…kung nagtatrabaho siya sa POGO-han dito sa building na ito, wala siyang sinabi. Hindi pa malinaw,” he added.
According to Cruz, they have yet to verify whether the foreigner was tortured or was a victim of human trafficking.
“We will check yung mga documents niya kung siya ay talagang biktima ng trafficking, and kung siya ay pumasok ng may dokumento dito sa atin [bansa],” Cruz said.

The PAOCC Undersecretary mentioned that the Chinese national may testify as a witness, as he might be knowledgeable about its operations.
