A Chinese businessman carrying illegal drugs was caught by security officers in Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on Thursday, August 10.
The drug carrier of five grams of shabu with a street value of P34,000 was identified as Qian Qiang.
According to the Drug Enforcement Group report, Qiang was at the airport’s final security screening checkpoint when he was apprehended at around 11:30 a.m.
The suspect, a passenger on a flight bound for Guangzhou, China, was also found in possession of two bullets for a.22 caliber handgun.
The foreigner was handed over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency for further investigation.
Qian is detained on charges of violating Republic Act 9165, often known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
