A 15-year-old teenager faces murder charges for the death of his four-year-old nephew in Las Piñas City.
The Las Piñas City Police discovered the remains of the victim inside a washing machine at the house of the suspect on Sunday, May 28, two days after the child went missing.
PCol. Jaime Santos, chief of Las Piñas City Police, doubts that the victim died in an accident and that the suspect hid the body in panic as claimed by the mother of the teenager.
Santos said on Tuesday, May 30, that the suspect admitted to killing his nephew in a social media post, and that the autopsy found that the victim sustained a blunt force injury in the head.
The police official also revealed that further investigation showed that the child still lived when the suspect placed the victim inside the washing machine.
"Planado lahat ito. Kitang-kita naman," Santos said during DZRH's Dos Por Dos.
"Bakit mo naman itatago sa loob ng washing machine kung natakot ka, bata ka? Siyempre ang una mong pupuntahan yung mga nakakatanda," the Las Piñas City Police chief added.
