On Thursday, Philippines bet Celeste Cortesi looked every bit of ethereal as she strut in her sparkly sky-blue long gown with a thigh-high slit during the preliminary competition of the Miss Universe 2022 in New Orleans.&nbsp;

Hosted by news anchor Randi Rousseau and Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu, the 88 contestants walked the runway in their evening gown.&nbsp;
According to Miss Universe Philippines organization, Celeste wore the stunning, sky blue evening gown designed by Oliver Tolentino.&nbsp;
"Celeste is a 25-year-old model with an interest in real estate but nothing is more important to her than the work she does in a poor rural community educating parents on how to raise and feed their children," Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu described Celeste while walking on the runaway. &nbsp;

Sandhu also mentioned Celeste as a supporter of mental health.&nbsp;
"Celeste enjoys traveling because she likes challenging herself to learn new languages. This 25-year-old proudly supports a mental health and well-being organization and therapies to those in need," Sandhu said.&nbsp;

 During the swimsuit prelims, Celeste walked down the catwalk wearing a hot pink bikini along with a symbolic white cape with hand prints that highlighted her experience in "visiting the youth and their families during the Save the Children Philippines outreach in Marawi."

For her long gown, the Filipina-Italian looked celestial in her sky blue gown which was inspired by a poem written by her dad.&nbsp; The 71st Miss Universe grand coronation night is set on January 14 at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in Louisiana. Celeste is vying to take home the country's 5th crown.
