The Two-Time World Champion gymnast garnered a score of 15.000 points, 6.600 in difficulty and 8.400 in execution, to best the seven other finalists in the event.
Artem Dolgopyat of Israel snagged the silver medal after registering a score of 14.966 points, while Jake Jarman of Great Britain finished in third place with a score of 14.933 points.
Yulo joins Filipina weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz in the growing list of Olympic gold medalists from the Philippines.
Diaz ended the gold medal drought of the Philippines after she ruled the women's 55 kilograms weightlifting event in the 2020 Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan.
