Carlo "The Bull" Bumina-ang, a promising prospect from Team Lakay, is set to showcase his skills in a three-round bantamweight clash against Iran's Reza "The Jaguar" Saedi at ONE Friday Fights 27.

The proud native of Baguio City, who turned pro in 2019, has garnered attention with his impressive performances.

Recently, he achieved a double gold medal win at the 2023 Pan-Asian Gi & No Gi Jiu Jitsu International Open.

Bumina-ang is part of Team Lakay's highly-touted next generation, known for their well-balanced mix of standup game and grappling expertise, alongside stars like Carlos "The Limitless" Alvarez and Jhanlo "The Machine" Sangiao.

“Fighter na fighter si Carlo. Gusto niya talaga war, toe-to-toe. Kaya ako na ang nagpangalan sa kanya na ‘The Bull’ kasi nakita ko sa performance niya na walang tigil and he will really work na ma-finish yung laro,” said Team Lakay founder and coach Mark Sangiao.

However, standing in Bumina-ang's way is Saedi, who will also make his debut in ONE Championship.

Saedi has a background in kickboxing and wrestling, and despite withdrawing from a previous bout against Alvarez, he is determined to give Bumina-ang a tough challenge.

The exciting clash between Bumina-ang and Saedi is scheduled for August 4 at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, as part of ONE Friday Fights 27.

Filipino fight fans can catch the action live on ONE Championship's YouTube channel and Facebook page at 8:30 PM on the mentioned date.

Following this event, Team Lakay will continue to make waves in the ONE Fight Night 13, as Mark Sangiao faces Mongolia's Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu on the morning of August 5.
