Following months of speculation, Carlo Aquino has finally confirmed his split with Trina Candaza.
In a report from ABS-CBN News on Sunday, the actor said they had separated this year.
Rumors about the former couple's split started in January this year after the model posted a cryptic post on her Facebook account.
Aquino did not further elaborate on the reason behind their breakup but emphasized that they still communicate as they share an 18-month-old daughter Enola Mithi.
"Nag-uusap kami every once in a while. Nahihiram ko si Mithi, pero s’yempre dahil nga pandemic pa rin, ‘yung safety muna niya [ang priority]. Pagka may trabaho ako nag-aantay ako ng ilang days," he said.
Carlo and Trina, who first confirmed their relationship in October 2019, welcomed their daughter in September 2020.
