Calasiao, Pangasinan mayor Mamilyn &ldquo;Maya&rdquo; Caramat, 53, passed away on Sunday, January 8, due to a stroke.&nbsp;
According to a post on Calasiao's Facebook page, the town mayor died at 12:30 a.m.&nbsp;
Caramat, the town's first lady mayor and was serving on her first term as a mayor, had been long suffering from hypertension.&nbsp;
Her family will announce additional details later on, regarding the wake and interment, added to the town's official social media page.&nbsp;
