On Monday, personnel from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) turned over a bag containing Php 50,000 to the management of Laguindingan Airport in Misamis Oriental.
The money was placed in a pushcart at the arrival area of the airport, when Joshua Bustamante found the bag containing the money at around 7:20 a.m. He rushed to inform the management to locate its owner.
Later that day, a female passenger from Manila claimed the lost bag.
Bustamante was commended by CAAP for the integrity and professionalism that he exhibited.
"His actions exemplify the highest standards of honesty and service we uphold. Mr. Bustamante’s dedication and values inspire all airport employees, reminding us of the goodness and integrity present in our busy environment," CAAP Area 10 Manager, Job De Jesus said.
