An official said Wednesday that anti-narcotics police operations from January to March 13 this year have resulted in the arrest of 51 drug suspects and the seizure of over PHP 2.2 million in shabu.

According to Col. Marco Archinue, city police director, at least 43 police operations were conducted with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Caraga Region during the period, which also targeted 21 high-value individuals (HVIs) involved in the illegal drug trade.

At least three buy-bust operations and search warrant operations resulted in the seizure of 330.6 grams of shabu worth more than PHP 2.2 million.

On March 10, an HVI identified as Ronil Burdeos was arrested in Barangay Lumbocan here in one of the most recent buy-busts.
