Bulacan 1st District Representative Danny Domingo has denied receiving kickbacks from flood control projects in his district, according to an ambush interview with the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI), as reported by RH Jecelle Ricafort.
Domingo said he substantiated his claim during an executive session he requested with the commission. He also noted that both national and local government authorities are actively addressing the severe flooding affecting his province.
“Sa Bulacan, ina-address ng pamahalaang national at pamahalaang lokal, nananalig kami na sa patuloy na proyektong ibababa ay matutugunan na rin ang problema sa baha,” Domingo said to reporters.
When asked about Engr. Brice Hernandez and Engr. Jaypee Mendoza, Domingo identified them as Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) officials in his district, who are currently facing scrutiny over the flood control project controversies.
