BTS member SUGA has been assigned to public service for mandatory military duties, according to media outlet reports on December 13.
However, the enlistment date has not yet been confirmed.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism's enlistment deferment, SUGA likely has until the end of 2023 to start his mandatory service duties.
Meanwhile, BTS' agency, Big Hit Music said that the members plan to fulfill their mandatory duties in accordance with their individual plans and it is yet to confirm personal information related to the BTS members.
Born in 1993, SUGA is a South Korean rapper, songwriter, and record producer who debut with the other members of BTS in 2013.
He released his first solo mix tape, August D, in 2016 and re-released the mixtape for digital purchase and streaming in 2018.
In 2020, SUGA produced IU's digital single "Eight" and PSY's "That That" single in 2022.
This year, SUGA premiered a new talk show titled "SuChwiTa" with BTS' leader RM as his first guest.
