The Commission on Election (Comelec) has moved the filing of the certificate of candidacy (COC) for Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) from August 28 to September 2.
This was confirmed by Comelec chairman George Garcia to DZRH.
"We reset the filing of COCs for BSKE from July 3-7 to August 28 to Sept 2," he said.

Following the confirmation, Comelec posted the updated schedule for the BSKE 2023.
Based on the new schedule, the election period with a gun ban begins from August 28 until November 14.
Meanwhile, campaigning is prohibited from August 28 to October 18.
The campaign period will stick to the original schedule. It will still begin on October 19 and end on October 28.
The barangay and SK election day will push through on October 30.
The date for COC filing was moved after Senator Francis Tolentino said he wrote a letter to the poll body asking them to delay the COC filing.
He said the previous dates for COC filing were too early for the October election, noting that this would burden local government units (LGUs).
