Justin Brownlee displayed an intense passion as he led Team Gilas in a remarkable comeback against China, securing their spot in the Asian Games finals for the coveted gold medal.

For the first time since 1990, the Philippine Men's National Basketball Team is set to face off in the Asiad finals.

This achievement followed a stunning comeback victory against the Chinese squad, with a crucial 77-76 final score.

During the opening minutes of the first quarter, Team Gilas struggled to find their rhythm against the home favorites, falling behind 15-4 in just the first four minutes.

However, the nationals gradually fought back, led by Scottie Thompson, even managing to tie the game at 15-15.

Unfortunately, due to untimely fouls and turnovers, China regained control of the game, ending the first half with a 48-30 lead.

As the third quarter began, Justin Brownlee ignited a resurgence, fueling a 13-7 run and cutting the lead to 50-60.

China responded swiftly with Du Runwang and Hu Jinquin, extending their lead to 75-67 with only 3 minutes remaining.

With Brownlee's clutch shots, Team Gilas rekindled their hope, narrowing the score to a nail-biting 76-74.

With less than a minute left, Ange Kouame set a screen for Brownlee, and the beloved Barangay Ginebra import sealed the deal with a powerful 3-pointer.
