Naturalized players Justin Brownlee, Jordan Clarkson, and Ange Kouame lead the 21-man pool of Gilas Pilipinas for the upcoming 2023 FIBA World Cup.
However, only one of them will make it to the final roster of the Philippine national men's basketball team since FIBA only allows squads to have a single naturalized player.
The pool also includes nine PBA players: Japeht Aguilar, Poy Erram, June Mar Fajardo, Jamie Malonzo, Chris Newsome, Calvin Oftana, CJ Perez, RR Pogoy, and Scottie Thompson.
Rhenz Abando, AJ Edu, Jordan Heading, Bobby Ray Parks Jr., Dwight Ramos, Kiefer Ravena, his brother Thirdy, Kai Sotto, and Carl Tamayo complete the team pool released by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas on Wednesday, June 7.
Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia will serve as co-hosts of the 19th FIBA World Cup from August 25 to September 10.
