PBA team TNT Tropang Giga finally snagged a win in the East Asia Super League.
Tropang Giga barged in the winning column after defeating the Taipei Fubon Braves, 80-69, on Wednesday, December 20, at the Sta. Rosa Sports Complex in Laguna.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson finished 35 points and 11 rebounds while his brother Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson scored 22 points as they put an end to the four-game losing streak on TNT.
Back-to-back baskets by Rondae and Rahir allowed Tropang Giga to take the lead, 31-30, and from there they never trailed until the clock ran out.
Three-point baskets by locals Glen Khobuntin and Calvin Oftana widened the gap, 70-58, in the final period.
Anthony Johnson chipped in 19 points and 20 rebounds while Sedrick Barefield added 15 points to pace the Braves.
Tropang Giga returns to action on January 25 against the South Korean squad Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters at PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
