In case you missed it, the spin-off television series of Netflix's hit historical fiction romance "Bridgerton" will be premiered this May 4!
The "Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story" will revolve around the younger years of Queen Charlotte during the Regency-era, specifically on her marriage with King George III of England. Several past secrets about their romance will be unveiled.
Aside from romance, the series will also give audience a look on Charlotte's life when she took the throne and became the Queen of England.
English actress India Amarteifio will be portraying the young Queen Charlotte.
According to Netflix, although the series is dedicated to young Charlotte, there will also be a sneak peek into the present-day life of adult Queen Charlotte in the "Bridgerton" world. Guyanese-British actress Golda Rosheuvel will reprise the role.
She will also be joined by other "Bridgerton" elders Adjoa Andoh and Ruth Gemmell who will be reprising their characters Lady Danbury and Bridgerton family matriarch Lady Violet Bridgerton, respectively.
Written and executively produced by Shonda Rhimes, the series will be composed of six episodes.
